Kit Learning by Shikhar Alo Trust provides essential educational materials and learning resources to help students study effectively, build knowledge, and achieve a brighter future.
Our Book Bank initiative collects used and new books from donors and distributes them among needy students. We have successfully distributed over 5000 books including textbooks, reference books, and story books.
Meritorious students from economically weaker sections receive financial support through our scholarship program. Scholarships cover school fees, exam fees, and partial living expenses to ensure uninterrupted education.
We run 5 free coaching centers across North Kolkata providing quality education to students from class 5 to 12. Experienced teachers guide students in Science, Mathematics, English, and other subjects.
In today's digital world, computer skills are essential. Our computer literacy program teaches basic to advanced computer skills including MS Office, internet usage, and basic coding to students and youth.
We organize regular health check-up camps in partnership with local doctors and hospitals. Free eye check-up, blood tests, dental check-up, and general health consultations are provided to students and their families.
Our women empowerment program focuses on skill development, financial literacy, and self-help group formation. We train women in tailoring, handicrafts, pickle making, and basic entrepreneurship to make them self-reliant.
Many students come to our coaching centers on empty stomachs. Our nutrition support program provides healthy snacks and occasional meals to ensure no child learns hungry. We also distribute nutrition kits during exams.
We provide vocational training in trades like electrician work, plumbing, mobile repair, and basic electronics to school dropouts and unemployed youth, helping them earn a livelihood and become self-sufficient.
